2012 Magazine
This year’s conference was outstanding. Vibrant worship led by SOCMS students and the Leytonstone youth choir, a thoughtful and thought-provoking address by keynote speaker Professor Tinyiko Maluleke from South Africa, passionate exposition of the Bible by Bunmi Olayisade, challenging and informative seminars, and a gala evening which had us all cheering. All this was brought into being by conference organiser Femi Cole-Njie, Superintendent Minister of the Forest circuit in East London. Two hundred participants shared in celebrating 100 years of Methodist Mission as well as discovering Africa’s response to the many challenges faced by the peoples of that huge continent.
We hope you catch a glimpse of the energy we experienced as you read about it in these pages. Next year’s conference on Europe will have a hard act to follow!
Every blessing, Alison Judd
